NZeTA – Get it before you go

Download the official NZeTA app provided by the New Zealand government to conveniently request your NZeTA and make the necessary payment for the IVL. This efficient app allows you to complete the process in less than 5 minutes.

Through the app, you can effortlessly upload your passport details by scanning your passport and make secure payments by scanning your credit or debit card.

In just one transaction, you can request and pay for up to 10 NZeTAs, simplifying the process for your family or group.

What are the NZeTA & IVL?

The NZeTA is an important border security initiative implemented by the New Zealand Government on 1 October 2019.

Most visitors traveling to New Zealand are required to pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) of NZD $35.
